Maddie

Maddie has been extra clingy and protective of me recently. We read that dogs can sense pregnancy. I love my little pookies. Everyone is worried about how she will be with the baby, but I think she will surprise everyone. It might take her a little while to get used to someone else in the house, but then I think she will love the baby and be protective of her as well. She is just used to being the "only child" and getting all of the attention.

33 weeks and counting....

My anxiety over the baby and the upcoming bar exam is on overload...I will not miss the emotional aspect of being pregnant thats for sure! So, I took a much needed night off Saturday and BJ took me out to dinner. It was nice to get my mind off things for a little while. BJ also spent all weekend working on the baby nursery. It is a work in progress (if you know what we started with then you understand). But, it is turning out beautiful! My hubby is great!!!

Baby Kaitlin's 4d Ultrasound

We had another ultrasound last week and it was amazing. I cannot even describe it. We could see her moving, her toes, and even her little mouth moving. We were there for over an hour because she was hiding behind her hand's....being shy. I now know why they tell you not to lay on your back while pregnant. After laying there for that long, I almost passed out. I got so light headed and nauseated from my blood supply being cut off....completely worth it though! It was unbelievable and made everything that much more real. She is sooooo cute!!! I stare at this picture all the time...it is the background on my computer and my i-phone. I have it framed and carry it in my purse (thanks to Courtney for giving me a little book to put it in). Oh and its blown up on our fridge. Obsessed much? Just think what I'll be like when she is here and I can take "real" pictures.

We are working on her nursery. The crib is ready, with my beautiful pottery barn bedding (thanks Mom!) and the rest of it will be coming together soon. And if I went into labor today, we would be ready. Mine and Kaitlin's hospital bags are packed! I took a study break today to do some shopping and get things together. I am really excited for her to get here. I think she will be early. I am measuring at March 24th now. But, she is so big already! I was in shock to find out that she was already 4.6 lbs!

All of my friends keep asking for "belly" pics. We have not taken any recently because on the weekends all I do is study and my general attire is sweat pants-not cute for a picture. But I'll try to get one soon. My belly is growing for sure! :)

As for the bar, at this point I think it will be a miracle if I pass. I am studying every possible free moment, but it does not feel like enough. Working full time has been really hard. I try to study 2 hours each morning before work and then study after until I fall asleep. Sleep is difficult with extreme back pain from the pregnancy. Weekends I spend all day/night studying. BJ has thankfully been wonderful and very understanding. He has picked up the slack big time with cooking/cleaning/laundry/etc. I am very lucky!!! =) So, if I have been a bad friend lately, its because I honestly don't have any time to pick up the phone and call and I go days without responding to emails. :( Only 3 weeks to go though! I am working one more week and taking 2 off! Thank God!
And thanks to those that have called or emailed to check on me and baby. I really appreciate it and it means a lot. We are doing great!

Reflecting on 2009

Happy 2010!
We ended 2009 with a trip to the ER followed by 2 days in the hospital (BJ not me). Its a long story, but he is ok and feeling fine. Therefore we took it very easy for New Years. He had to wake me up to watch the ball drop. But, it was so nice to have a 3 day weekend! :)

We are definitely ready and excited for the new year! We experienced highs and lows in 2009. Although it was a hard year coupled with A LOT of change, we will never forget our wedding day, which was the best day of our lives up to this point. And as hard as things have been, it has all been worth it. We have learned a lot, grown up A LOT, and are happier than ever.

2010 will be a great year! The next 2 months are going to be insane as I spend the little free time I have studying! Studying for the bar exam is not going to be easy during my last trimester...but I am going to push through! I am going to try and cut back my work hours some (leave at 5 rather 7), so this should help.

28 WEEKS!!

We can't wait to meet our baby girl. She occupies about 95% of my thoughts. It is so exciting and scary at the same time. But we are getting ready and really looking forward to spring 2010! :)

Kaitlin's little closet is already getting full!! She is already so loved by our family and friends. And I have to say that baby clothes are too precious to resist. I want to buy everything I see...but am trying to control myself! We picked out furniture for the nursery this weekend and baby bedding. It is getting so close and there is so much to do!!

The Holidays.

I love Christmas! It is my favorite time of year. I am really looking forward to starting our own traditions next year with our little family. Each day the anticipation of Kaitlin's arrival gets more and more exciting. I am starting to feel prego (which makes sense since I'm about 27 weeks) with back pains and exhaustion. But for the most part I feel good...just really really anxious! We are very lucky to have family here to help because I definitely feel overwelmed at times.

Blizzard 2009
The snow was beautiful and I loved every minute of it! Maddie did too! I hope we see a lot of snow this winter...for someone that HATES the cold, I love snow!

Almost 24 weeks! :)

BJ takes my picture every week, to see if I am growing! :)

Christmas time!
